Gibson SG Standard (built 1991)

Gibson SG

Gibson's SG (wich stands for Solid Guitar) was first built in 1961 in this shape. In the beginning these guitars were part of the Les Paul series but Les Paul didn't like the design and used the guitars only to be pictured with them for promotional purposes.

The Standard has a mahogany body and neck and a rosewood fingerboard. With the slim neck and body it is very light and a perfect guitar for rock music. The two humbuckers have a lot of power for rhythm as well as lead parts.

This guitar carrying the serial #91611369 was built on June 6, 1991. It was the first guitar that I bought new!
